Neural Microengineering Laboratory
Welcome to the Neural Microengineering Laboratory at Tulane University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Tulane Brain Institute. The focus of our laboratory is developing advanced models of neural tissues using human cells. To this end, we employ a number of microscale technologies, such as microfabrication, 3D printing, nanomaterials, microelectrodes, and optogenetics. Our ultimate aim is to gain a better understanding of neural physiology and dysfunction, and to aid in the development of more effective therapies for neurological disorders.
