Impact
We prioritize community-engaged participatory research with real world impact. We achieve this by proactively aligning our research with FCAT’s ongoing social and environmental initiatives. This includes collaboratively identifying research questions, designs, data collection, interpretation and dissemination. Research conducted in our lab has informed rainforest restoration, regenerative agriculture, reserve expansion, and endangered species management work by FCAT. This research serves as a vehicle to build local skills and capacity, and also provides employment opportunities for local residents.
