This semester, Carolyn Walsh, a GSP student, took on an internship with Glass Half Full with funding from the GSP. Read about Carolyn's experience below!
"My internship this semester at Glass Half Full has been an eye-opening experience. This semester I was able to work with the business, Glass Half Full. Glass Half Full works to turn recycled glass into sand. One of their biggest projects involves using this sand for coastal restoration efforts across Louisiana. Glass Half Full was founded by two Tulane students, and we still have bins at multiple locations across campus. However, not many Tulane students know that these bins are even there. My work mainly surrounds bolstering awareness of these Glass Half Full bins on campus and spreading information about the organization to other students. To do this, I have created some maps of the bins and plan to make some flyers to pass around campus. My greatest hope for the end of my internship is to have students regularly use these recycling bins across our campus. I am excited for the rest of my internship with this amazing business and group of people!"
