Request project support
Current GSP students: Do you have an idea for a research project, creative project, internship, or volunteer opportunity you’d like to pursue? Is this project related to the goals of the GSP? If so, we may be able to help you make this project a reality by offering funding, arranging transportation, connecting you with mentors, and/or helping you talk through your project goals.
To discuss possible avenues of support:
- Xavier GSP students should reach out to hratnaya@xula.edu and dmeda@xula.edu
- Tulane GSP students should reach out to ckeckley@tulane.edu and mdahleh@tulane.edu.
Register for cross-university courses
Students at Xavier are encouraged to enroll in any Tulane GSP courses, and students at Tulane are encouraged to enroll in any Xavier GSP-related courses.
- Tulane has created two courses specifically for the GSP:
- SCEN 2700- Indigenous Cultures & Communities of the Gulf South
- RCSE 1040- The Gulf Coast in 2100: Sustaining Healthy Ecosystems and Vibrant Community
- Xavier has compiled a list of many courses that align with the educational goals of the GSP.
Students' academic advisors can assist with enrollment in cross-university courses.
Request a faculty mentor
All Xavier GSP students are paired with faculty mentors in their field.
All Tulane GSP students are encouraged to request a faculty mentor. The Tulane GSP team will find a mentor in the student's field and work with the student to determine what role this mentor should serve based upon the student's individual situation and aspirations.
