I am from Rwanda, A beautiful country in Easter Africa. I am currently a PhD candidate in the Biomedical Acoustics Lab. My area of research focuses on in vitro analysis of regenerative and chemosensitizing effects of therapeutic ultrasound. I investigate the effects of low-intensity ultrasound on neuronal growth in a compromised growth environment, such as low growth factors or an injury model. I also Investigate the chemosensitizing effects of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) on cancer cells. I study the effects of HIFU in combination with androgen deprivation therapy on Androgen Receptor (AR) & its variants in prostate cancer, as well as the effects of HIFU on p53 protein in cancer cells, a crucial tumor suppressor that regulates cell division and prevents cancer.
In my free time, I love to visit different places. I want to visit as many places as I can in my entire life. It makes me very happy when I visit a place I have never been before! I love to take walks or listen to music while reading people’s personal journey books or certain genres of fiction books. Fun fact: I read the entire set of Harry Potter books when I was in middle school!
