Dr. Weixiong Wang

Dr. Weixiong Wang is originally from Zhejiang, China, and received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University. In 2008, he came to the United States as a postdoctoral researcher at The Ohio State University. In the summer of 2009, he joined Tulane University, where he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratories of Dr. De Kee (Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering) and Dr. Khismatullin (Biomedical Engineering). An expert in COMSOL Multiphysics, Dr. Wang used the software to simulate the flow of non-Newtonian fluids for various rheometer designs. He also developed patient-specific computational models of blood flow in intracranial vessels with aneurysms.
