NIH SBIR Phase I funding

Levisonics has been awarded a $299,309 SBIR Phase I grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the NIH to develop and test a novel acoustic tweezing device, based on the acoustic tweezing spectroscopy technique, for coagulation monitoring in patients with hemophilia. Tulane University is a sub-awardee on this grant, and the Biomedical Acoustics Laboratory, in collaboration with the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, will lead the clinical testing using blood samples from pediatric hemophilia patients.
