Levisonics and the Biomedical Acoustics Laboratory have been awarded a nearly $4.4 million grant from the Department of Defense to develop and test a portable, battery-operated acoustic tweezing device for coagulation monitoring in trauma patients and the management of trauma-induced coagulopathy. Tulane University is a sub-awardee on this grant, and our work on this project is expected to begin in March 2025, when the novel device is anticipated to be ready for clinical testing.
